Rain is on the horizon (Hooray!), and there is still time to order a discounted rain barrel to capture some water to save for a dry day. Discounts are available from the Solana Center through the end of the month, and pick-up is located in Encinitas. You don't have to pick it up before the end of the month, but you do have to get your order in. Rebates for water-saving devices such as rain barrels, weather-based irrigation controllers, efficient spray nozzles, and other items are available year-round from SoCal Watersmart and the County of San Diego Waterscape Program.
